Areas of Interest

Where the foundation's philosophy may be put to work.

These are areas of interest, not a list of programmes already running. They describe the kinds of causes the foundation intends to support as it develops, each considered on its own merits.

The foundation does not claim to operate in all of these areas at once, or to have completed work in any of them yet. They are the directions in which it intends to look, guided by the needs that emerge through trusted relationships.

Support in any area depends on the eligibility of a specific project, the resources available, sensible verification, and the foundation's own policies. Nothing on this page is a promise of assistance.

Laptops, mobile devices and the connectivity that makes them useful.

What the foundation does not do.

Clarity matters as much as ambition. AlexanderB Foundation does not provide clinical services, emergency medical care or professional medical advice. It does not operate hospitals or clinics, and it does not run cancer research programmes. It does not promise assistance to any individual or organisation.

Where a need falls outside the foundation's ability to help responsibly, the right answer may be to connect people with organisations better placed to assist. That, too, is part of taking responsibility.
